Woodsmen Mountain Whiskey

A website redesign concept for the Himalayan whiskey from Ginglani Distillers, New Delhi, a house making spirits since 2012. The altitude is the story, so the site opens on the mountain and lets the bottle arrive second.

The brief we set

  • Sell the altitude before the bottle
  • Make "Made in the Himalayas" the first thing read
  • Treat the age-gate as design, not a speed bump
  • Give the distillery a face, not a footnote

What we changed

  • Landscape-first hero, bottle revealed on scroll
  • Cream ground with navy type, drawn from the label
  • A single provenance line held above the fold
  • House story: New Delhi, 2012, told in one screen

The system

  • Static build, no CMS to maintain
  • Age-gate: "Are you above 25 years of age?"
  • Stockist finder as the primary conversion
  • Ships in fourteen days from sign-off

Why it matters

  • Indian single malt now sits on serious back bars
  • The websites rarely say so
  • Provenance is the whole premium
  • Type and pacing are how you charge for it

Scroll-triggered reveals only. The bottle rises once; nothing loops in the viewport
