This policy explains what AGNT/01 collects when you use this site or become a client, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can access, correct or delete it.

AGNT/01 is a sole proprietorship operated by Aniket Gandhi, based in Ottawa, Canada, serving small-business clients in Canada, the United States, India and elsewhere. For the purposes of this policy, AGNT/01 is the "data controller" (GDPR terminology) or "organization" (PIPEDA terminology) responsible for the personal information described below.
This policy covers agntone.ca and any subdomain of it, our contact forms, our calculators and assessments, our newsletter ("That Makes Cents"), and the client dashboards we operate for active clients.
We collect the minimum needed to run the site, respond to you, and deliver client work. Specifically:

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
Under PIPEDA (Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act), we rely on your knowledge and consent, implied when you submit a form, and express when you opt into the newsletter. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
Under GDPR (for visitors in the EU/UK), we rely on: consent for newsletter signups and non-essential cookies; contract for processing needed to deliver services you've engaged us for; and legitimate interest for basic site analytics and responding to enquiries you initiate.
We keep personal information only as long as it's needed for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires:
We use a small number of processors to run the site and business. None of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
We use a small set of cookies: essential cookies needed for the site to function, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) that help us understand traffic in aggregate. We do not use third-party advertising or retargeting cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect how some pages function but will not block you from reading the site.
Under PIPEDA. You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to access it, to correct inaccuracies, and to withdraw consent for its use. If you believe we've mishandled your information. You can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada ↗.
Under GDPR, if you're in the EU or UK, you additionally have the right to: request erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restrict processing, receive your data in a portable format, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Email info@agntone.ca with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us what you'd like, a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion. We'll confirm your identity where needed and respond within 30 days. There's no charge for a standard request.
Because we use processors based outside Canada (Google, Vercel, Calendly and our email provider may store or process data in the United States or the EU), your information may be transferred across borders. We select processors that maintain their own compliance with PIPEDA, GDPR or equivalent frameworks, and we do not transfer data to processors without a privacy commitment in place.
This site and our services are directed at business owners and operators. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us and we'll remove it.
We may update this policy as the business, tools or law change. The "last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version. Material changes affecting active clients will be communicated by email.
