Village Hair Studio

A redesign concept for a boutique hair salon in Streetsville, Mississauga, serving the area since 1993. Starting prices for every stylist, the whole team, recent work and Google reviews sit on one page, and every section ends one tap from booking or a call.

The brief we set

Show starting prices before anyone has to call
Put a face and a name to every stylist
End every section one tap from booking
Assume a phone, a lunch break and three salons open in tabs

What we changed

Starting prices per stylist, with a hair-length toggle
The team in arched portraits, initials until a photo exists
Instagram and Google reviews brought onto the page
One booking panel: service, stylist, day and time

The system

Prices live in one list, so a change is a quick edit
Hours, address and directions in the last chapter, one tap from the nav
Gift certificates and hiring links kept in reach
Typical build: about two weeks from sign-off

Why it matters

People compare salons before they pick up the phone
A stylist’s face is what fills the chair
Booking should not wait for reception hours
Reviews do the most work right next to the book button

SPEC

Type: One-page salon site: services and prices, team, products, latest work, reviews, booking and visit details
Architecture: Eight numbered chapters. Each one ends one tap from booking or a call
Display: A wide sans for headlines, with a serif italic accent on key words: look, luxury, waiting
Palette: Blush to lilac gradient and cream paper, with ink chapters for About, Team, Reviews and Visit
Prices: Starting price per stylist, a hair-length toggle, colour work quoted at consultation
Proof: Readers’ Choice line in the hero, Instagram feed and Google review quotes in place, a link to leave a review
Navigation: A sticky bar with the salon name, phone number and Book Now at every scroll depth
Ship time: About two weeks from sign-off to live (typical)
