AGNT/01 is an Ottawa-based AI consultancy that sets up AI receptionists, missed-call text back, lead follow-up and review requests for small businesses across the London area, including St. Thomas. We work remotely on Eastern time, configure every system for PIPEDA and CASL, and start each project with a free AI audit.

54.7% of London employers have one to four people on payroll. Whoever answers the phone there is usually also doing the work, so the call that comes in mid-job goes to voicemail.
Statistics Canada counts each operating location separately, and some locations are not yet assigned an industry, so the industry rows are floors rather than ceilings. Every figure links to the sources list.
In London, health care and social assistance leads the employer count with 2,566 locations, or 15.5% of the 16,507 in the census metropolitan area. Inside it sit 1,213 offices of physicians and 326 offices of dentists, so a large share of incoming calls are likely to be people booking, moving or cancelling appointments.
Retail trade is second at 1,990 and construction third at 1,783, including 423 building equipment contractors. Those are the two groups most likely to lose a customer to the next listing when a call goes to voicemail.
The rest of the front office is smaller but sharp: 313 law offices competing on how fast a consultation request gets answered, 949 restaurants and 290 personal care businesses that depend on reviews and rebooking.
Mapped to the five largest sectors in the CMA. We build the first row that matches you, prove it on live calls, then add the next.
| London sector | Where enquiries leak | Automate first | Then add |
|---|---|---|---|
| Health care and social assistance (2,566 locations) | New-patient calls land while the team is with a patient; same-day cancellations leave empty slots. | AI receptionist that books into the practice calendar, with waitlist texts when a slot opens. | Recall reminders for overdue visits. See AI for dental. |
| Retail trade (1,990 locations) | Special-order enquiries and callers asking whether an item is in stock. | Text and call answering that logs the request and replies with next steps. | Back-in-stock and follow-up texts with a working opt-out. |
| Construction (1,783 locations) | Calls missed on site or in a crawl space; estimates that go quiet. | Missed-call text back that qualifies the job and how urgent it is. | Quote follow-up and a review request after completion. |
| Professional, scientific and technical services (1,598 locations) | Proposals that go quiet after the first call; enquiries that arrive outside office hours. | Instant reply to every web and phone enquiry, with a booking link for a discovery call. | Proposal follow-up and a review request after delivery. |
| Other services (except public administration) (1,343 locations) | Rebookings that never happen; walk-in questions arriving by phone. | Booking by text and call, with rebooking nudges. | Reviews and reactivation for lapsed clients. |
Not sure which row you are? The free AI audit answers that in one call.
PIPEDA. Ontario has no general private-sector privacy law, so the federal PIPEDA governs customer information a London business handles in commercial activity. The script states why we collect each detail, and we keep only what the booking needs.
Health information. Ontario's Personal Health Information Protection Act covers personal health information, so a clinic receptionist handles scheduling only and passes clinical questions to staff. Callers hear up front when a call is recorded and why.
CASL. Review requests and follow-up texts carry your business name and a working opt-out, with consent logged, per the CRTC's guidance.
Law Society of Ontario. Lawyers keep their competence and confidentiality duties under Chapter 3 of the Rules of Professional Conduct. Our intake never gives legal advice and collects the minimum before a conflict check. See also the LSO Technology Resource Centre.
