AGNT/01 is an Ottawa-based AI consultancy that sets up AI receptionists, missed-call text back and lead follow-up for small businesses in Abbotsford and Mission. We work remotely, configure every system for BC's Personal Information Protection Act and CASL, and start each project with a free AI audit.

Abbotsford holds 7,315 of the CMA's 8,538 locations and Mission another 1,208. The two municipalities together account for almost every location, so a business here is one of 8,523 in a compact market.
Every figure is a count of locations with employees, so sole proprietors without staff are not included. Check the sources list.
Construction leads the CMA at 1,350 locations, about 15.8% of the total, which is a larger share than health care or retail. Transportation and warehousing is second at 854, Health care and social assistance follows at 808 and retail trade at 715.
Both leaders run on crews that are out of the office. A contractor on a roof or a dispatcher on the phone with a driver cannot also pick up a new enquiry, so the first company to reply tends to get the job. There are 262 building equipment contractors in the CMA, against 100 dentists and 102 law offices.
58.5% of locations have one to four people, so most owners answer their own phone. That is the gap a receptionist closes.
Matched to the five largest sectors in the CMA, with construction and transportation first because that is where Abbotsford differs from most mid-sized cities.
| Abbotsford sector | Where enquiries leak | Automate first | Then add |
|---|---|---|---|
| Construction (1,350 locations) | Homeowners phone three builders and book whoever picks up between site visits. | Instant text to every missed call, then a short triage so quotes and emergencies sort themselves. | Quote follow-up on day two and day five. |
| Transportation and warehousing (854 locations) | Shipper and driver calls land on a dispatcher already on another line. | Call answering that logs the load, the contact and the urgency, and hands off live when it matters. | Status texts so fewer people call to ask. |
| Health care and social assistance (808 locations) | Callers ask about openings while the front desk is with a patient. | Booking by phone and text, with reminders to cut no-shows. | Recall messages for lapsed patients. |
| Retail trade (715 locations) | Shoppers call to check stock before making the drive. | A receptionist that answers hours and stock questions and passes the rest to staff. | Review requests after purchase. |
| Other services (except public administration) (704 locations) | Rebooking happens on the way out the door, or not at all. | Text booking with a rebooking nudge. | Reactivation texts for lapsed clients. |

This is a starting draft, not a promise of results. Texts must include your business name and an opt-out, per CRTC guidance.
BC's own law. British Columbia has a private-sector statute, the Personal Information Protection Act, and the Privacy Commissioner of Canada lists BC among the three provinces whose laws apply instead of PIPEDA for most activity inside the province. Federally regulated businesses, such as interprovincial trucking, remain under PIPEDA, which is relevant for interprovincial trucking.
Tell callers up front. The greeting says the call may be recorded and why details are asked for, in line with the Commissioner's recording guidance. Dispatch notes hold only what the job needs.
CASL. Every text names the business, carries a working opt-out and is logged against recorded consent, as the CRTC explains.
Law Society of British Columbia. Fraser Valley lawyers follow the Code of Professional Conduct for British Columbia. Intake gives no legal advice and collects the minimum before a conflict check.

The two municipalities that make up almost the whole CMA, by business locations with employees in the June 2026 count. Smaller First Nations reserve areas in the CMA each have fewer than 20 locations. We serve the whole CMA the same way, remotely.
No. We are an Ottawa company and say so plainly.
Aniket Gandhi builds each system. There is no office in the Fraser Valley and nobody local to upsell you.
Calls are booked early, at lunch or after the truck is parked, in Pacific time.
We ring and text your real numbers before any customer reaches the system.
