AGNT/01 is an Ottawa-based AI consultancy that sets up AI receptionists, missed-call text back, lead follow-up and review requests for small businesses in Kelowna, West Kelowna and Lake Country. We work remotely, book calls in Pacific hours, configure every system for BC PIPA and CASL, and start with a free AI audit.

Kelowna holds 7,298 of the CMA's 9,901 locations, with West Kelowna and Lake Country as the next largest, so the market is concentrated but not limited to the city centre.
These are location counts from the June 2026 release. Industry rows undercount where Statistics Canada has not assigned a code. Sources are listed below.
Construction is the largest sector in the Kelowna CMA with 1,528 locations, ahead of health care and social assistance at 1,181 and retail trade at 1,087. Inside construction there are 316 building equipment contractors.
Professional, scientific and technical services is fourth at 1,028, covering 151 law offices and 184 architecture and engineering offices. 462 physician offices and 134 dentists keep appointment lines busy.
The CMA has 467 restaurants and 169 personal care businesses, and 53.9% of all employer locations have one to four people. A trade owner on a job site cannot also pick up every call.
Matched to the five largest sectors in the CMA. We build the first row that fits you, prove it on live calls, then add the next.
| Kelowna sector | Where enquiries leak | Automate first | Then add |
|---|---|---|---|
| Construction (1,528 locations) | Homeowners comparing three contractors and choosing the first one who answers. | Instant reply to every missed call and web form, with an estimate slot offered. | Review requests once the invoice is paid. |
| Health care and social assistance (1,181 locations) | Callers asking whether you are taking new patients or clients, and reschedules requested after hours. | After-hours call answering that records the reason for the visit and offers the next open slot. | Confirmation and reminder texts that cut no-shows. |
| Retail trade (1,087 locations) | Shoppers calling to check an item is in stock before they drive over. | Call answering with a stock-check message handed to staff and a text reply. | Back-in-stock and event texts to opted-in customers. |
| Professional, scientific and technical services (1,028 locations) | Document and appointment questions that interrupt billable work. | Call routing by topic with a clean summary sent to the right person. | Review requests after file close. |
| Other services (except public administration) (741 locations) | Rebookings that never happen; walk-in questions arriving by phone. | Booking by text and call, with rebooking nudges. | Reviews and reactivation for lapsed clients. |
Not sure which row you are? The free AI audit answers that in one call. For trades, see AI for HVAC and trades; for clinics, AI for dental.
BC PIPA. British Columbia has its own private-sector law, the Personal Information Protection Act, which the Privacy Commissioner of Canada lists among the provincial laws that apply instead of PIPEDA. PIPEDA still covers federally regulated businesses and information that crosses borders.
Say it at the start. The receptionist opens with a short notice about the call and why details are collected, and offers a text or email route to callers who prefer it. See the Commissioner's note on recording customer calls.
CASL. Texts carry your business name and a working opt-out, with consent logged, per the CRTC's guidance.
Law Society of British Columbia. Okanagan lawyers follow the Code of Professional Conduct for British Columbia. Intake never gives legal advice and gathers only what a lawyer needs for a conflict check.
Plain-language planning notes, not legal advice. Check unusual situations with your lawyer.
